Love is Born of Pain

August 10 @ 10:30 am 11:30 am

All Dates and Times are U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

What new capacities, I ask myself, are evolving in human beings worldwide, as Ahriman’s incarnation draws ever closer and the whole earth, with all its creatures, goes through the birth pangs of suffering and death? How, too, can we deal with this level of danger and uncertainty?

Speaker: Benjamin Cherry

Benjamin Cherry, originally from the UK and with a master’s degree in Law from Cambridge, a 1st MB from Birmingham and a Diploma of Education from NSW Australia, Ben has lived, worked and travelled through five continents and has given talks or courses on all of them. His search for peace and for answers to the huge social, cultural and environmental issues he encountered as a young man, beginning with his experience as a teacher and journalist in Vietnam during the war, led him five decades ago through many spiritual streams to the work of Rudolf Steiner in a school for severely disadvantaged children in England.

He later co-founded and taught in a school in Australia and has been mentoring and giving courses in many parts of the Asia-Pacific region since the beginning of this century, especially China. He now lives in Taiwan, where he has been writing for the UK magazine New View, the Hawaii-based Pacifica Journal and other publications, about what he perceives to be taking place beneath the surface of things at this time. His recent book, In Search of the Heart’s Sense of Truth: A Life Journey, published by InterActions in Stroud, England, is an offspring of this life journey of questing and questioning. And of living with not knowing.
