Achieving Enlightenment in the Age of Technology

August 10 @ 1:00 pm 2:00 pm

All Dates and Times are U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

Spiritual science helps us understand the very purpose of life. Through the study of spiritual science, we can experience how the human being is being formed – how we are all in the divine cauldron of creation. We are a work in progress, moving through development arcs ordained by mighty spiritual beings. Enlightenment, or the birth of the higher self, is a natural, wonderful process, through which an individual truly becomes a human being. Most of us are apprenticing at being a human being, and some days better than others. But we can take this situation in hand. We can, once we are clear on what is required, put our backs into it. We can accelerate this natural process of becoming in a wholesome way by undertaking meditative efforts which facilitate our development.

As part of his talk, Robert will provide an overview of the meditative path, showing how it must begin with aspects of everyday consciousness that hide developmental potential. These occult doorways are hidden in plain sight. Rudolf Steiner shows us where to find them, how to open them, and what we will experience as we cross these thresholds of becoming. Robert will address questions such as, “can I still achieve enlightenment when I am immersed in the realm of Ahriman” or “if my job requires 10 hours a day of computer time, must I do something different to attain enlightenment” or “given how much the world has changed in the last 100 years, are there additional steps to attain enlightenment today?”
